Guilds

Guilds have been the primary base for characters who uphold a certain theme. Guilds have several benefits for their members, including (but not limited to) a guild comm channel, a guildhall, guild weapons and guild livery, guild-specific mail addresses, as well as private bars and shops.

| The Guilds and Clans have been placed in Arda to give players a tool they can use to roleplay with. Each Guild or Clan has a different plan and purpose. In order to discover what each Guild's is, you should talk to a member from each of them, or consult the clan room in Bree, where you may use the 'info' command to view the details of any guild which has chosen to make them public. To view clan details, use the 'view' command of the clan room. |

Guilds are created by evolving a clan through specific stages, requiring minimum gold, membership and thematic standards.
[edit] Leadership and Management
Guilds are run by its members, with the main responsibility falling on the shoulders of a Guildmaster (abbr. "GM").
[edit] Defunct Guilds
Certain guilds have gone defunct over the years for a number of reasons. Some were disbanded by Valinor for having inadequate themes, or forced to change into a new group. More recently, a few disbanded voluntarily or merged with other guilds.
As of 2007, the Evil Race organizations called Legions were deprecated and incorporated into guilds.
