Rangers are the masters of the wilderness. They are those who have studied herb lore and who have trekked across the land, exploring all that nature has constructed. Rangers have left society to develop their senses and to study talents that are considered to be lost by the rest of society. No one can lead a group more effectively through wilderness than a ranger.
Rangers are also able to wield brands and torches as effective weapons and their sight is also more acute than most other peoples of Arda. They are experts in the lands, able to take advantage of - and live off - the wilderness. Rangers are skilled in many aspects of combat, making them excellent fighters. Combine this with their other abilities and they become strong forces in Arda.
This is a Free-Race profession.
